*SOLD* Meisel thin rib bass w/removable neck

Selling my travel bass....it is a Meisel thin rib bass, with violin corners and round back. Removable neck (conversion done by B.Merchant in NYC) . Fitted flight case. Good conditions. It has served me well for many national and international flights. The bass has quite a bit of acoustic sound and amplifies beautifully. For those familiar with Tony Scherr...it is the same exact bass. Asking US 1500 + shipping. Will post photos soon. Thanks.

The scroll has been professionally cut to imitate the Gage Czech Ease bass, which too has a removable scroll. I haven't finished the work yet, still undecided if using a magnet or a small wood cilynder to hold togehter scroll to the pegbox.

What are the dimensions and weight of the case? Any problems getting it on a plane without overweight/oversize charges?

Dimesions are 120*75*20 cm approx. Weight of the case when loaded with the bass is around 22kg. I've never had problems in having the case checked in. Since the weight limit is generally 20kg I sometimes had to pay overweight charges for just 2 kg.

That's funny. I was just thinking of searching for one of those to have Merchant convert it for me. Why are you selling it? How is the set up?

Email sent, Brian. The bass has a good setup. The soundpost is glued inside to avoid falling when the bass in transit.
