I just got my Christopher 602 and I wanted it shipped with the Prastro Evah Pirazzi Upright Bass Strings. It was not an option without having to wait and pay a lot more so I decided it was not worth it for me. I had the bass prof. set up as soon as it arrived with my sting selection (Evah Pirazzi) and the Helicore Hybrid HH610 3/4 Medium Tension are now available.

This bass went from the seller directly to my favorite luthier for the setup (which included string replacement) so the strings are BRAND NEW - Installed but never played.

As Bob Gollihur puts it: The Hybrids are a purposeful compromise between Orchestral and Pizzicato strings. They have slightly more growl and sustain, not quite as bowable as the Orchestra set but still quite a nice compromise if you want a bit more grit and sustain than the Orchestral strings provide.
