*SOLD* Nice old german bow *PRICE DROP*

Not too much I can say about this bow. I've has it for 15 years and I'd guess it to be between 25-30 yrs old. Could be older.
I'm not an expert on wood but I don't think it's pernambuco.
It is a nice playing wood bow. I've gotten compliments from legit players on it.
Currently has black hair. Although it sounds better than a CF bow to my ear, I'm selling it to get a CF for outdoor gigs.

I'll try to post some good close ups on it later.
$200+shipping

New Price

OK, I know it's not a looker but it plays well. Certainly a good workhorse.
How about $200 + shipping?

Thanks,
Dave

Bow Weight

Funny you should ask. I received a new scale today but it was a dud.
They are shipping me a new one and I'll post the weight as soon as I get it. Probably early next week.

Sorry.

It's a lightweight

I had the bow weighed at the local shop today and it came in at only 89.7g
I knew it was lighter than my Tom Owen but not that much lighter.

I was doing some comparisons with the Owen bow today and found that it is a little brighter and clearer sounding than the Owen. The Owen currently has white hair but I'm going back to salt and pepper. With salt and pepper hair, the Owen grabs as well but sounds a little richer. Still, for an inexpensive bow, I think this one sounds very nice.

I had a Prochownik bow (not the one I have now) that was 122 gr and that was like a flyswatter. Is that possible? Tom's bows (I had one, too) always seem to profit from "grippier" hair.

Thanks, though

CORRECTION!

My scale came in today and the measurement at the shop was wrong. Maybe the bow wasn't balanced on the scale.
It is actually 139g. (and it's still available)

Thanks,
Dave
