| *SOLD* Oskar Seifert French Bass Bow ***PRICE DROP*** Hello:
Up for sale is a great Oskar Seifert bass bow. The stick is straight and the bow plays really nicely. White hair still has plenty of life in it. Stick in good condition no cracks only one or two knicks which is very normal for a bow of this age (and they are only cosmetic). Tip plate appears to be ivory and have no cracks either. Yellow and black wrapping in good shape. Leather is worn a bit but holding up fine. Including a rubber installed on the stick. Really beautiful stick and would hate to let her go but I'm trying to finance a new bass.
Stamped "Oskar Seifert" near the frog and "Germany" under the stick, I'll assume from their website that this bow was made around 1950 or later (The Workshop Seifert was founded by Oskar Seifert who has learned the art of bowmaking from Albert Renz in Erlbach between 1924 and 1927 and has set up on his own in 1932 in Kirchberg near Graslitz. After the forced resettlement that occurred after the second World War he opened a new workshop in 1950 in Bubenreuth. The bows that where made in this period were stamped OSKAR SEIFERT.)
W. Seifert bows, the shop bow from this family of makers, are selling for 1k-1200 USD through Lemur. I assume Oskar Seifer are slightly higher quality. I'm asking $1000 for this one. ****now 600 usd great price for a great bow!!!****
I'm willing to ship out on secured trial (you pay full price and shipping both ways, if you decide not to keep it I'll refund the money) but someone should snatch this up quickly before it is too late! I have lots of photos I can send to your e-mail if interested. Thanks
Thanks!
