Steel flatwound on gut inner core. I bought them used , too, so I dont know how old they are ;-) I only stringed them up for an hour or so. I like to mix-and-match but this one doesnt go well with the higher tension D/G strings I have on the bass so I took it of again.
New price is about $ 120 each string depending on where you shop.
I would be interested to trade[/b] with a medium tension E string with lots of volume; like black tape wound, or D’Addario steel Hybrid solo F and A#.
No plain gut, Rotosound, Eurosonic/Presto please (got all of those).
