These are nylon on nylon. the color of gut. very flexible and i think they sound great. i am just absolutely addicted to gut D and G. check out the pic. (pesto and microwave sold separately)
They were installed on bass with 40.5" string length so the G string was wound on the post a bit. but they weren't on for long and aren't damaged.
