I have for sale here an Upton Hybrid double bass Op.111. I ordered this bass in 2007 and it has served me very well ever since I purchased it. It makes me sad to sell this bass but I am pursuing double bass performance at Indiana University next year and I need the money! It has a nice even tone across all registers and is well suited for intermediate players or someone who wants a reliable "workhorse". This bass has a solid carved top and has figured plywood sides and back. This bass does have minor varnish wear but is in very solid playing condition.
This bass is equipped with ebony hat peg tuners as well as a Marvin Wire tailpiece installed. The original ebony tailpiece will also be included in the sale. All dimensions and information can be found on the Upton website here
