Hello:
I received this German bow with a 19th-century German bass I recently purchased and am having restored. I know it was purchased with the bass and an old case from a "university professor" in the Chicago area more than ten years ago and never used. I was pleased to find out that the bow plays really nicely. I would keep it but I'm not a German modern bow player (though I can speak with some authority that it plays well from playing underhand period bows).
I cannot make out the last name, but it is stamped "Rich and then what appears to be a 5 letter last name. It could really benefit from some new hair. There is a chip taken out of the frog but this is entirely cosmetic. Could be a great bow to get your hands on or a really solid backup. I'd keep it myself but I"m in need of some fast cash.
