*SOLD* Very Old German double Bass Bow *PRICE DROP*

I have for sale a very old German Double Bass bow. My best guess is that it is from the very early 20th century or even late 19th century - though I'm not totally sure. The stick looks to me like pernambuco but I'm not 100% on this. It has a closed from with mother of pearl dot inlay. The frog is in good shape for it's age but does have two small chips. It could use a rehair but it is playable as is. The stick is straight and produces a very articulate and dark sound. The stick is round and nicely formed, though rather large in diameter. It has an ebony adjuster and one small knick in the tip. The ivory tip has a small crack but probably could just have glue rubbed into it to stabalize next time the bow is rehaired.

The bow plays really well. I'm looking for $800 $700 $600 $500 $400 $350 for the bow.

Thanks

Feels pretty average as far as German bows go.. Not so heavy but not light either. Sorry I don't have a scale

Try taking it to good bike shop and getting it weighed there. Roadies are total weight weenies and every part of their bikes get weighed to make sure their components are the lightest.
