1/2 size bass with carved top and back. Brown/red in color with the top fashioned from two pieces of spruce, medium-wide grain. The back is from two pieces of plain maple. The ribs, neck and scroll are also of plain maple. There are no existing repairs. Bears the label, "John Juzek, violin maker formerly in Prague. 400H 1/2 Made in China".
The strings are spirocore and are in good condition.
Includes bow (German) and soft case.
Bought it for my son, who has moved on to other pursuits.
