Thumbs up 1950's Epiphone B5

Excellent condition. All parts original except replacement endpin.
Strung with D’Addario Helicore Hybrid strings. Sold in new Kaces bass bag. Original endpin and beat original canvas bag included. $4500.

Great looking bass, but as I understand it Epiphone didn't start manufacturing basses until the late 30s, 1939, I think.

New info tells me that Epi started building basses in the '40s. Actually, my B5 is more accurately dated between 1954 and 1957. It has a maple tailpiece which places it '54 or later. In '57 Epi stopped building B5 basses. Thanks for the heads up!
