1951 Kay Upright Bass M-1This is a great Bass. This old Kay was a mess 15 years ago when I bought it. The neck was reset and planed, the seems have all been reglued with hide glue
by a professional. The bridge replaced and fit with an adjustable bridge. The
bass was refinished professionaly with old style nitrocellulose lacquer. This bass looks and sounds great. I have been playing it all that time. All the work was done 15 years ago. The bass comes with a gig bag. Must see and hear the bass. All work was done with proper materials. (hide glue) Pics avaliable by request. The bass is in the Toledo OH -Detroit, Mi area. The Asking Price is $ 1750.00 . I will throw in a gig bag, k&K pick-up, bow and guill.

Just curious. Did you buy this in Detroit? I'm wondering if this is the bass my Uncle sold years ago, that if I'd known at the time would have bought it. Thx. Larry
