| 1959 Karl Hofner Plywood This bass has been superseded by a killer Kay and I need some room back in my apartment ....really, it's like I'm going into competition with David Gage over here.
The body's in good shape with the exception of a little "dent" in the side of one of the lower bouts. There is a new neck with a solid neck graft by Jacksonville, FL luthier Dale Gosa. I believe that was done in 2007. It could use a new bridge and a fingerboard planing (Bb and B on the A string are buzzy), but I've played it on a couple of gigs recently and got no complaints. Strung with Spircore Weichs on the bottom and Pirastro Olivs (!!) on top. The bass is very light.
