1999 Fully Carved Chinese with upgrades.

I have a fully carved Chinese made upright bass for sale. It is 10 years old so the sound has matured some. I am the first owner and paid $2500 new and have put over $2500 into it over it's lifetime, and I am only asking $2000 for it now. This bass is perfectly set up to play and could go straight to a gig. Upgrades included: New Bassbar, Soundpost, Bridge, Tuners, Endpin, Nut, Tailpeice wire, and Regraduated/Refinished Top. Basically everything except the wood is new. Why is that? Because the Chinese can only make these basses cheap by skimping on parts. Once you replace the garbage you have a really nice instrument. A few seams could be tightened up but I have built that cost into the price. This is the perfect gigging jazz bass or college level student bass. All the work on this bass was done by Sal Giardina in New Orleans, a world class Bass luthier. If you are looking to trade I would consider a Kay bass.
