I am selling my first double bass. It's a hybrid with a solid spruce top and beautifully flamed maple plywood back and sides. It was made in the Czech Republic in 2005. I've owned it since 2007. It also comes with some minor cosmetic damage from transporting and playing it constantly, but it does not affect the sound.
It had been set-up professionally when I first got it and it has an adjustable Despiau bridge, ebony tail-piece, and ebony fingerboard. It is currently strung up with Thomastik Bel-cantos. It's a bright and loud bass, I've used it mostly in a classical setting playing with my university's orchestra and wind ensemble, but I'm sure it will work great for any style of playing. Playable string length is just under 41 3/4 inches.
I am selling it for
$3000 $2500. I am also including a barely used Bobelock gig bag and an Ingles double bass stand.
