3/4 Juzek for sale

I'm selling my Juzek, known in our house as "The Countess" and she is sweet. As you can see by the pics she's had a bit of work done over the years but she plays well and sounds beautiful. Lisa Gass of L.A. Bass Works recently replaced the sound post, bolted the neck and improved an older repair. I've owned the bass for around 10 years. I'm not playing as much as I used to. And since I'm not actively pursuing the instrument it's time to let someone else enjoy her. $4,750. Send me a note and I can send you some more pics.

String length runs 41 5/8"

Here's pic of the neck repair that Lisa improved. This was damaged but had been repaired before I bought the bass.

The reason for the bolt. This Winter the neck popped out of the slot so Lisa had to put a bolt in the neck and tightened up the earlier repair. Not uncommon as I've learned and there were many in the shop that had a bolted neck. At first I was horrified at the idea but she assured me that this was a solid and accepted way of fixing this issue. I'm really happy with the repair and I feel that the bass sounds better than when it went into the shop. My camera is out of batteries but it looks like a round inlay at the top of the neck going down into the body. It's about 1" wide and barely noticeable.

There is also a cleated crack that runs down the body.

Like I said, she's had some work but I really love this bass.
