I am selling my almost new bass purchased in February '08 from Williams Fine Violins in Nashville, TN. Dustin Williams hand selects these basses from high quality Chinese inventory then sets them up and upgrades the end pin, tailgut and bridge.
I am selling because I bought an Upton hybrid that better suits my needs and having two basses is too much of an indulgence for my limited talents.
This bass is a laminated bass with a beautiful dark finish. It has a very punchy tone especially in the higher registers. It has sloped shoulder which make access to thumb position very easy. Dustin's setup makes it the easiest playing bass I have ever played. It has an adjustable bridge. It is currently strung with Corelli strings. It comes with a very sturdy bag.
I paid $2,600 for the bass in February and it is well worth the $1,950 I am asking. I live in the Nashville area and I will not ship the bass but I am willing to meet within a reasonable distance.
