6-string clevinger to trade for 4-string eub

i have a 6-string clevinger eub in very good condition. it has the updated (1999) arco-vitruoso pickup system, which is the passive system clevinger still uses, employing transducers in the bridge under each string. sounds excellent for both pizz and arco (this bass was played professionally arco in cirque du soleil for two years).

it also has an unusual martin clevinger modification - 'bouts' (removable) on both sides of the body so it can be played while sitting, resting between the legs. i use only the bout on the bass side, since i stand, and leave the other at home.

volume knob (10 detents) and passive tone knob. 1/4" output.

it is in perfect working order. includes soft case and the two removable 'bouts'.

thick ebony fingerboard has a few buzzy spots and wants a dressing, but is very usable as is.

it has a newer set of spiros on it now.

...

i'd like to trade it for another high end eub, but a four string. for several years now i've been playing urb tuned in fifths, to which the six string doesn't lend itself well. definitely interested in another clevinger.

please pm or email with interest.

thank you,
sean p

bumpity bump

this bass is sweet! i've been playing it on most of my gigs lately (with only four strings on it) and it sounds great! i just want to carry a little less around, though the weight probably adds to the gravitas of the tone...
