Active Studio Monitors

Wharfedale Diamond 8.1 Pro Active studio monitors
$150, I eat PayPal fees and we split shipping (you chose the carrier and speed)

I'm the original owner. I bought them locally at a music shop on recommendation of my favorite recording engineer. I used them at home, mostly for transcribing from my iPod, turntable or CD Player. I may have an actual stereo system some day, but I'm in the habit of using my iAmp combo for this purpose now.

Tried unsuccessfully to sell these local on craigslist, thought I would try here before eBay. They're in great shape. I've got the original manuals in the plastic.

Here are Wharfedale's spiel:

The Diamond Pro Active Studio monitor contains a bi-amplified amplifier unit designed and manufactured by Wharfedale Professional. This amplifier features an active electronic crossover - a valuable tool allowing the input signal to be divided between the drive units thereby optimising the overall response of the system. The amplifier unit has built in overload protection circuitry to monitor output levels and protect the drivers. As well as the ON/OFF Led, the Diamond Pro Active has a second LED on the front panel that will illuminate when the unit is being driven excessively (as would a CLIP Led on an amplifier).

Mod's I'd like to close this thread for a while. I got one response that didn't pan out, but in the mean time I've found a new use for these and I'm going to live with them for a while to see if it turns into a new home. If not, I'll respost them in a few months.

If anyone feels like this was a huge missed opportunity for them, feel free to send me a PM and I'll tell you what my current state of mind about it is.

Thanks, TBDB!
