Almost new (4 weeks on bass) Belcanto strings for sale or trade

Almost new set of Thomastic Belcanto strings here. (took them off my bass after about 4 weeks) 4th str. = 'C' ext. I love the warm dark sound but I'm not able to acclimate to the response and they are quieter than I need.. I think they are worth $150. STILL FOR SALE.

I am curious to know what specifically you mean by acclimating to the response (bow, left hand, etc.) I just bought a set , but haven't installed them yet. Your input would be appreciated. Regards, Kevin Piekarski

They are quick but much lower tension then the Helicore orch. I use. They are much darker with more 'bloom' and resonance from my bass (great sound) but they are far less bright and do not take assertive bowing forgivingly. They need a very light touch and a completely different set of vectors to get the 'pop' in rapid bass passages. I would think they would work best for me playing a lot of early and chamber music. I did like them but not for our hall with my section on my bass.

I'm curious as to why the heading says "almost new, 2 weeks on bass," but in the thread you say they've been on the bass for a month. Can you please clarify?

Sorry, I cannot find how to edit the post title. They were on the bass 4 weeks minus a few days not 2 weeks. Maybe post has been up too long to allow edit??

I did the edit.
When you're in the edit window, click on the "Go advanced" button to get the ability to edit the title too.
By default, you can only edit the body of the post.

That's true that after some time, you can't edit a post, but in that case, you can't edit at all.
