Aluminum 3/4 Bass for sale

1930s / 40s Aluminum bodied Pfretschner upright bass for sale in very good condition with excellent setup in natural aluminum finish. I wrote the detailed article on these and AlCoA basses in the spring issue of American Lutherie magazine; typically I see 3-4 of these per year passing through my shop. This one is nearly identical to the Pfretschner posted on my website. Unlike the AlCoAs with their monstrous and very cold welded aluminum necks, the Pfretschners came with a wooden neck that make a nice transition from your old standard; none of the winter gigs with 58 degree hands! Feel free to call me at the shop, 828.450.5440. The asking price is $3600, delivered anywhere in the continental US. Thanks for looking and enjoy the day.

Hi James, and welcome on Talkbass!

Since you're a commercial user, can you please get in touch with Paul Determan, who is Talkbass' owner and admin, to get your user title modified to reflect your commercial affiliation ?

Also, a commercial user cannot use the free Classifieds to sell instruments, unless it's his own stuff.

Please read the Commercial User Policy too.

Best regards!

Francois:
Thanks for the heads up.This is my first time using the talkbass forum. It seems like all of the different sites have their own local rules.

While I make my living as a luthier, writer, and teacher, in this case, I'm just an individual offering one of my personal instruments up for sale. I listed my web address and other info so that folks would be able to research who they are dealing with and recognize that I'm not a scam artist from some obscure country.

Enjoy the day.
