Amazing clean and sweet 1961 King Mortone -- Pristine, great sound!

Well, here's as nice a King Mortone as you'll likely ever see. Serial # puts it at 1961; I bought it from an older gentleman who had had it for a long time.

It is clean everywhere--pristine enough for a collector, but it sounds so good you'll want to play it!

I figure this bass would be worth at least $3K in a better economy, but I'll let it go for $2750. Not open to trades so much, perhaps a Dingwall Super J, or gold/silver bullion...

Bass is located in Seattle.

Includes cover and Schaller pickup.

If what you're talking about is mounted on the bass in the pics, it's not a String Charger. It's something else... the name escapes me ATM. Sweet bass tho.

Thanks for the correction on the pickup and the compliments on the bass.

I'd love to keep it as a road bass, but I've got 2 old carved basses I love and can't afford to keep this one too...
