Hi bassists, I bought this great ATA flight case from a classical bassist in Houston two years ago. It is HUGE. It measures 7'7" in length, 18.5 deep plus 10 more inches for the deepest point of the sturdy bridge extension, and 37" wide at its widest tapering off to 14" wide at the top. The trunk will hold a 4/4 carved bass with C extension.
This trunk is very sturdily constructed of wood and aluminum and some type of masonite siding. It has recessed spring-loaded handles all around and four recessed wheels (two of which are located on the bottom edge like an SVT cab). There is a ton of thick foam lining inside, as well as straps for holding your bass in place.
I will sell this trunk for $550 (plus any shipping costs if you are not local) or I would possibly trade for a 1/2- or 5/8- or 3/4-size laminated bass in decent condition. Please email me if you want more pics or if you have questions or trade offers. Thanks!
