The clips the attach the contacts to the bridge. Lots of people use double sided tape, glue, putty, or the like to hold them on. I used double sided tape.

They also make excellent pickups for guitars and other stringed instruments if you don't mind some glue on your soundboard.

I have a set glued to my Azola Baby Bass bridge that makes it sound huge.

oh I thought these are supposed to go on the feet, kinda like the realist. anyone ever tried that or have an audio sample of the standard setup?
