| Carved 5/8 Rumano Solano 5-string w/high C in Santa Cruz, CA
Hi fellow bassists,
This bass is a bit of an odd duck and will need to find the right buyer.
It has a small scale length with a big busetto style body. It was custom built in Solano's workshop to optimize for the high C. It would make a great salsa or jazz bass. It is fun to play, light, easy to transport. Has a lovely singing sound, reminicent of a cello. Not a huge thumpy sound, but very clear and plenty loud.
Asking $2000 OBO. I don't want to deal with shipping, so if you aren't somewhere in the SF Bay Area or on the Monterey bay you would have to do some real convincing.
This is a sweet little bass in need of the right home. I can't afford to keep two basses any more as my house isn't big enough!
