Czech Upright for sale-120 years old

For Sale is my beautiful antique Czech bass. The maker is unknown, and there is no signature or label, or it has worn off. It does come from a well-known Czech factory according to David Gage.

This is a perfect instrument for the serious music student or professional jazz player. Here are some particulars: 3/4 Size, E-flat neck, roundback. The fingerboard and bridge are both new and the bass is expertly set up. The endpin is a brand new Goetz endpin that I had installed a few months ago. The strings are Obligatos which are pretty good and are only about 6 month old. This bass has a dark, full rich sound and is just plain killer.

It is available for local pickup in the Franklin/Nashville area only. If you have every tried to ship an antique upright bass you will understand why I will not. I paid $10,000 for this bass which I bought from a member of the Phoenix symphony some 7 or 8 years ago. I am willing to sell it for much less because I am motivated! (expecting twins) I will accept $8000 which is the estimated value I received from David Gage for this bass. Please email me or call me at 615-593-2110 to arrange a test drive.
