I bought this 3/4 double bass in 2003 and have not regularly played it since 2004. I have moved away from playing DB, so it’s time someone else to give it a good home. It was made in 1968 (in Markneukirchen, Germany) and has a beautiful carved top, with laminate back that has a slightly red hue to it. I had a luthier replace the original fingerboard with a beveled ebony board as well as install a new endpin and braided saddle wire. I also have a quiver with two bows (one German, one French) that I no longer need. A thickly padded, burgundy Mooradian soft case is also included. An electronic pick-up (David Gage) is installed under one bridge foot. If you want to use a different pick-up, a new bridge will also need to be installed due to the foot being filed away to accommodate the pick-up. I even have a collapsible stand for the bass.
