Sell or Trade Eminence Electric Upright Bass (+cash) for Fodera NYC 5 fretless Bass

While I have this posted on the electric bass forum, I have posted it here as well for obvious reasons...

Looking to Sell or Trade Eminence Electric Upright Bass (+cash) for Fodera NYC 5 fretless Bass.

The Eminence Electric Upright Bass (EUB) is just an outstanding bass. It is considered the best EUB by many pros and it the bass of the legendary Mark Johnson. If you care to see this bass in action, check out these YouTube videos.

The best thing I can do for you, if you are into Jazz, is point you to this youtube of Marc Johnson. It will give a good feel as to what this bass is capable of: http://youtube.com/watch?v=y0H8nxEmHyA&feature=related

As you can see/hear, this bass is just outstanding when amplified.

As to how it performs with bluegrass, check out Cornmeal - Dunegrass 2007!

Here is Alfonsina y el Mar where the bass player is using the bow:

This is a brand new bass just out of the box. I took it out, placed it on the stand and that is its history. It is setup high and you may want/need to have it setup per your specs.

While I have always been a guitar and electric bass player, I finally took the plunge and purchased a brand new Eminence Upright Bass (weeks old). I purchase the fix neck for the following reasons: a) been asked to consider the wear and tear as you remove and reinstall the neck, b) good upright bass strings are VERY expensive and are not meant to be installed and removed constantly. Beside, it isn’t that much longer without the neck in place.

Well, I am only selling because I don't think I will be able to pull it off at 51. This bass, when plugged into my PJB, envelopes your surroundings with a rich upright bass sound. But the physical requirements are something I can’t handle right now. So, I am going to have to put it on the block for someone who can really make it sing.

$2200.00 includes the bass, stand and gig bag and shipping CONUS. If you use PayPal you will need to pay for the shipping. We can discuss a deal and while local pickup is preferred I will ship it within the USA or Canada only!

I am basically looking to acquire a Fodera NYC 5 Fretless so trade(/cash) or sell are all options.

PM me any questions.

Note: In response to PMs... This is the fixed neck version, it is brand new, and as noted, the gigbag and the stand is included.
