| Engelhardt EM-1 Bass/Bag/Stand/Bow in NJ/PA Carpal Tunnel syndrom limited my double bass playing. A slice across the fingers ended my double bass playing, for at least a good while. The bass has been sitting for a while with little playing and would be better in the hands of someone who physically CAN play it.
The bass is a 2003 Model Engelhardt EM-1 bought from our very Bob Gollihur and was deliverred in the Christmas season of 2003 after joining the high school orchestra. I took many a lesson on this and recieved nothing but compliments regarding the tone.
The bass has been setup with an adjustable bridge, installed by Menzel Violins in Livingston, NJ, who also sanded and french polished the neck for a smooth feel, and levelled the fingerboard. Nothing but compliments regarding the tone of this bass as well.
Included in this deal:
- Engelhardt EM-1 - $999 new (plus $105 shipping)
- Brazilwood German Bass Bow from Bob - $148 new
- Adjustable Bridge - $59 new (plus $120 installation)
- K-III Symphony Grade Bass Bag - $129 new
- Ingles SA22 Bass Stand - $49 new
- Leather Bow Quiver - $49 new
- Cake of Carlsson Rosin - Priceless
That's a grand total of $1433 new, plus the D'Addario Helicore strings, bridge installation, neck sanding and french/polishing, and fingerboard levelling, I have over $1750 invested in this bass and it pains me to see it go, but at the time it pains me more to play it.
I'm looking for $1200 picked up in Northern NJ but am open to reasonable offers.
