Hi-
I bought a 4-string Ergo about 2 years ago, but didn't end up playing it more than a dozen times. It's really a cool bass- very compact, as you know. I just didn't take to the upright as much as I had hoped, and I already have a nice plywood upright with K&K pickup.
The strings are the originals that Jesse put on it, brand unknown. They are in new condition.
The workmanship on the bass is the same as all of the other accounts on Talk Bass (nice, but not a premium level of fit and finish). This one is made of cherry. It has dot markers (upcharge). It has a passive volume control. I hear that the newer ones do not.
The bass and stand are in essentially new condition other than one minor problem with a tuner. It has Gotoh or Gotoh-style tuners on it. There are small nylon spacers (1/16") between the keys and the bodies of the tuners. One of the nylon spacers broke and fell out. It is just one of the tuners, and it still works fine, but is worth mentioning. Now that I think of it, I might have another chrome Gotoh tuner in my shop.
I think the current 4-string price is $680 including shipping plus whatever the dot markers add to the cost.
Will sell for $525 including shipping in the continental U.S.
Thanks. I can give you references here on talkbass and/or we could talk on the phone. Check out my feedback. I can accept Paypal, MO, check, whatever. I pack things very well and ship promptly. Please let me know if you have any questions.
I thought I had this bass sold, so I packed it incredibly well without taking photos of it. I can unpack it and take photos if absolutely necessary, but greatly prefer not to do so.
It is exactly to same as the one shown in the photos in the following thread (not the actual bass):

Thanks for looking.
