What do you mean by "optional Holisonic pickup"?

Thanks in advance.

François

Sorry, just completed my profile

Holisonic pickup is a 2nd pickup for the Bennett Bass that is located inside the bass (The Bennett bass is hollowed out on the inside) to capture the acoustic qualities of the bass.

I used this as a rehearsal bass with a Jazz Orchestra I played with. Got tired of hauling my double bass to practices. It has been sitting in my music room gathering dust for some time and I want to find it a good home.

Like new condition at 1/2 the retail price.

Thanks.
Does that mean the buyer will pay less if he doesn't take the optional Holisonic pup?
If so, how much less?
(Not that I'm interested, just wondering)

Best regards,
François

I would not know how to remove the Holisonic pickup. It is "hard wired" inside the bass. It is probably possible, but not something I would attempt.

I will post some photos in a day or two. Traveling for the holidays but should be able to take a couple of digital pix by this weekend.

Optional, as in ... not a standard feature of the instrument ... something that you have to pay EXTRA for

Sorry for the confusion. Here are some pix

There are 2 separate inputs, as you can see from the photo. I use a "Y" adapter to put both inputs into a single cable which goes into the amp. You could run them separately into to separate amp inputs, but it is not necessary, as you can blend the two inputs using the separate volume controls.

The Holisonic pickup is VERY acoustic sounding and I generally have that all the way up. To add a little more attack (and volume) I then turn up the bridge pickup until I get the sound I am looking for.

Plays like a double bass and designed by a Jazz double bassist for Clevinger.
