F/S Old German Ply in Great Shape

Just putting some feelers out, but I am selling one of my two main axes. This is an old german bass (not sure of age) that is in wonderful shape. It was my main bass before acquiring my A. Standard. This bass has had many upgrades including a $100 end pin, plained fingerboard (ebony), the neck which has been resanded with a gun oil finish applied. and set up all by master luthier Glenn Stevens. The craftsmanship on this bass by far beats any american ply that I've ever seen. It has a good deep sound and cuts through in a band setting. I have used this bass in my bluegrass gospel band for several years, but it never gets played anymore. It's only fair to find it a good home. I live in east Tennessee and have more pictures if anyone is interested. Price is $1500. I paid $2100 5 years ago. If no interest, it is going on ebay. Thanks and feel free to ask questions.

Is there a name on it anywhere? From the front it looks exactly like my Anton Schuster which is a 3/4, but an inch or so shorter than some.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, there is nothing on it anywhere that indicates the maker of this bass. Only a white label inside next to the sound post that says "Made In Germany" that looks to be hand typed from an old type writer. When I first got the bass, I heard something inside the body so I fished it out and it was a shoe ad from a very old catalog dated from the 1950's. I folded it up and stuck it back in the bass.

Sure, I think I could do that as long as you feel there is a good chance you might be interested in buying it. My schedule has been crazy lately. I work 2 jobs and play in a band on the weekends, but if your interested, give me a few dates to choose from and I will see what works best for me. I know for sure that I will be in Newport, Tennessee next week on business, which is not too far from the border. Just let me know.
