FS - 1938 Kay Upright Bass

I have FS a 1938 Kay Upright Bass. Has been recently setup by Robin Smith of Hendersonville, TN with new Timeless Timber solid bridge, new adjustable endpin and cable, new steel strings, plained fingerboard, and overall setup. The bass sounds and plays awesome! The neck has never been broke. It has the Czech big tuning gears. It has a nice slim neck. The back of the neck has the most beautiful curl design in the wood I've ever saw. It looks like a candy cane pole. It has a small delamination spot on the back that I blended in to match the rest of the bass. It is barely noticable. The bass is solid as a rock and is ready to go to a good home. Asking $2800 obo. If interested, leave me a message at 606-875-4550 or email me at basscat85@ymail.com . Also check out my facebook page "Kyle Perkins" I play for JD Crowe & The New South.
Thanks!

It's a beautiful bass, but you might want to mention where it's located, and in what radius you might be willing to deliver.

Looks to be a C-1 - Gamba corners, not violin corners.

KYLE I'LL PASS THIS ON TO MY STEP SON , HE IS LOOKING RIGHT NOW FOR ANOTHER BASS. HE HAS BEEN OUT OF IT FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW. HE WAS GRASSTOWNS
ORIGINAL BASS PLAYER AND PLAYED WITH LARRY STEVENSON AND SOME OTHERS TOO.
BUT HE'S LOOKING TO GET BACK INTO IT.
IT SHOULD BE SET UP RIGHT. I BOUGHT MY WIFES KAY FROM ROBIN AND HE SET IT UP TOO WITH THE
TIMELESS TIMBER BRIDGE. ITS REALLY A GREAT SOUNDING BASS.

Timeles Timber bridge is a bridge made by Robin Smith in Nashville, TN. It is very hard maple that is over 200 years old.

Are you willing to ship? I play in a youth bluegrass band called Third Rail in Texas and really need a better bass. Ive been looking for a Kay, but they're hard to find around here. Could you send me more info at basscrazy95@gmail.com.
