FS Beautiful German bass from 1963

Hi,

I'm selling my trusty double-bass to finance the purchase of a gorgeous Jacquet-Gand which is worth a lot more.

It's a great sounding bass, very punchy and loud. It was made in Germany in 1963 in the Otto Rubner workshop. I have had the fortune to try a few basses from that shop and era, and I have to say this one is by far the best Rubner I've tried.

It will come with a super high quality gig bag (I've owned them both for almost 10 years, and the bag almost looks new - that's with extensive gigging and traveling).

I am asking for $15'000 - obviously a local sale only!

You can hear me playing it on my myspace page, and you can see pictures of it here:

Unfortunately I have not the bread.

I've played this bass and it plays and sounds great.

Interesting bridge...

Hi Ninn,

saw the Rubner pics. I´m playing one myself (though a little older), especially made under Otto´s name (and before, Josef I believe) there´s some great instruments out there.

I was wondering about the bridge- what is that? I have never seen anything like that... Thanks for enlightenment...

Best
