FS: Gary Clark French bow

Mint Condition

Very quick to articulate bow, excellent for orchestral playing. On the heavy side, big tip.

Clark bows are hard to find now that he's not making them anymore. . Same maker of the bow that Kristen Bruya used to win Nashville and advance to the finals in Cleveland and the Met. Sexytime!

$1700 its a steal!

Plays better than most bows over $2000!

I can email pics.

If no one buys it, its going to Robertsons and they'll probably want more$$

I can vouch for this bow, it's a good stick. I tried it out a couple of months ago and nearly bought it. It really is a good deal, even at $1700.

Why didn't I buy it? Well, if you've been following at all, I'm looking for not just a GREAT bow, but a bow that makes me drool in anticipation of picking it up to make music with. (I'm still searching, even after playing a $25k Sartory and a $7k "Tourte.")

Someone give this bow a loving (preferably orchestral or other extremely frequent-use) home!

-Trevor

used to be $1100

After a few people tried it out I realized it was worth quite a bit more. Someone could have picked it up for a real steal back then. I guess you snooze, you lose.

As Trevor said its still a great deal. I just had Brian Robertson (of Robertson's Violins) look at it and he was very impressed. I'm sure it could be appraised for over $2000.

Once again its a real "players" bow. Heavy tip, quick to articulate, clear sound. Its very hard to find a bow at this price that is this good. If I didn't need the money, I would definitely not be selling it.

Good question! I will get it weighed this week and let you know. Its definitely over 140grams. If I had to guess I would say 149. But I'll know for sure soon.
