Hey all, I am selling my Knilling Bucharest 1302 model upright bass! It was manufactured in Europe, NOT China, and is an excellent student-level instrument, or perfect for somebody looking to add a new sound to their lineup. It has a laminated spruce top with laminated maple back and sides, plus an ebony nut and fingerboard. The sound can best be described as dark and woody, and blends in well for ensemble playing. This bass was purchased by me (first owner) back in 2002 and has been serviced only by the master craftsmen at World of Strings and Lemur Music. There are a few minor nicks and dings, but nothing that affects it's playability or sound! Here's what is all included....
~ A high-quality padded TKL gig bag.
~ A French-style Glasser bow.
~ A sturdy tripod-style stand.
~ Brass bridge adjusters installed at Lemur Music.
~ Currently strung with Thomastik Spirocores.
~ A removable no-skid endpin stopper.
~ A black Reunion Blues bow quiver.
I'm selling this bass out of necessity, so I am willing to consider all offers. This is a sturdy, great-sounding, versatile instrument that sells for $2,600 brand new! I'm selling it for $1,400 OBO. SoCal area seller.
