FS Polytone Mini Brute III Project amp

Hello handy TBer's. Well, I purchased this non-working Mini Brute with the intent of fixing it. Unfortunately, I just don't have the time to devote to this amp. It needs a new speaker and the amp is not working. From what I understand, there may be an issue with something in the power supply, but I really don't know and haven't invested any additional time in the project.

Cosmetically, it is in pretty good shape. It has reverb as well. It's a great amp if you can get it working... but you probably know that.

It's being offered at $50 plus shipping CONUS.

I will post photos in the next few days.

Thanks for looking.

A few pieces of info:

What looks like a tear on the photo of the side of the amp is actually a seam.

The amp does not have a front grill.

Thanks again.

How do you know it's the speaker, and not the output transformer?

Although you can't see it very well in the photograph, the speaker is physically damaged - the surround is torn. I suppose I could plug another speaker into the ext. output and see what happens, but I was told that the actual issue is with something in the power supply, but I suppose it could be something in the output stage of the amp. I will report accordingly!!

The beauty of projects such as these ...
