"This bass is a somewhat discontinued model, that evolved into the SB200 7/8 willow flatback of today.
Here is a breakdown of the label for you:
SB=Shen Bass
800=highly flamed maple
7/8=Gemunder copy 7/8 bass
an=antiqued
2001-1-7 = Year 2001, first container of the year, seventh bass.
It is a fully carved bass made in the Shen Musical Instruments factory in Suzhou, China in 2001. It is a copy of a Gemunder that was in Rochester, NY for a while."
The bass is strung with helicores and fitted with an adjustable bridge.
It has been used and has some wear.
I am selling because I want to concentrate fully on electric bass.
Included in the sale is a gig bag for this bass, bass bib, quiver, and stand.
