I had an opportunity to buy this string new at a good price so I tried it out. I have to say that if I had one more bass, I'd keep it on. It has an amazing fat sound, clearer pitch than you might expect, it's great for slapping and worked well amplified. But, for me to keep using it I'd have to adjust my bridge slot, and I don't want to do that because I tend to switch strings periodically.
If you go to the Gamut site, you'll see that this string sells for over $200 new! I used it for one gig, it hasn't been clipped and is in like-new condition.
