German bass ca. 1930

So, at long last, I've decided to sell my upright bass.

It's a German instrument from a maker named Hermann Saumer, in Markneukirchen, Germany. It was made sometime in the late 1920's or very early 1930's. I pretty much played nothing but Jazz on it, especially during my student days at UNF, but I left the program after a year and really haven't played much jazz since. All the same, I wanted to hold onto it, if only for personal reasons, but recent circumstances have made that impossible. It's set up for Jazz already, but I imagine it would do well as a classical instrument if it were set up thus, as it has a very clear tone.

I'll have photos up as soon as I can. I live in Gainesville, Florida. If you live within a certain radius and you're a serious buyer, I may be able to bring it to you for an audition, but I can't otherwise ship it out of town. I am asking $4500 American.

So in case anyone is curious, I kind of dropped off the face of the earth for a few months due to lack of internet service at home.

But I'm back, and I'm still very interested in selling this bass.

I took some photos too:

Is that a Kay (or Engelhardt) neck on there?

Quite possibly. It's definitely not original, and it seems to have had that neck for quite some time.
