Hey Guys,

I'm looking to sell this German bow that came with a bass I bought from one of my teacher's other students. I play French, so I can't really justify having it around, plus I could use the cash.

It's not a great bow, but it would make a good beginner bow, or cheap backup. It's in good shape. The previous owner must have put some tape or something on the middle of the stick, so there's some residual glue, but that's the only flaw.

I'm looking for $150, but shoot me an offer.

Thanks for looking,
Chris

Who is it made by?
How is the hair?
What's the weight?
What kind of wood?

Thanks

Well I just talked to the previous owner, and apparently it came with the bass when he got it too, so he doesn't have much info either.

So, I'm sorry to say, but here are the answers to your questions:

Unknown maker
I'm no expert on hair, but I'd say it looks fairly old
The weight is noticeably less than the Pernambuco French bow I just bought from Lemur
Unknown wood

Reflecting this information, price drop to $100.

For that price range, I would guess its brazilwood.
