I went into my string drawer and discovered way too much stuff. Some of the used strings are priced so that you can try them out and get an idea about them. I've priced them to include shipping to lower 48.

~~Thomastic Spirocore Weichs: D/A/E strings only - Used about 6 months, never liked the G on my bass. $45 includes shipping~~

Helicore Pizzicato: complete set of 4. $20 includes shipping

Helicore Hybrid: 3 complete sets of 4. $20 each includes shipping. Will sell all three sets combined for $40.

Helicore mixed strings: 2 Orch G's, 1 Hybrid D, 1 Hybrid A, 2 Hybrid E's. $25 for all 6 includes shipping.

Golden Spiral Wound Guts: Legendary strings used by many greats in the golden age of jazz. These are gently used. G string is $50 and D string is $50 including shipping. Will sell both together for $90.

Would consider Velvet Garbo Lights in a trade deal.

Also have two sets of Obligatos for $20 each. These were used for at least six months, but I never detuned them, which can degrade them. Will sell both sets for $35 and include an extra D and an extra A. Shipping to lower 48 included.

Just need to clarify that the Golden Spirals are labeled D'Addario, not Kaplan, so they are not from the sixties. I bought them from a TBer last year, but never installed them. They look like they are in very good shape, but I have not played them.

Spirocores, all Obligato sets and all Helicore sets are SOLD.

Golden Spirals are still available because someone backed out of the deal. I bought them used from TBer last year, but never installed them on my Pollmann because I really like the Velvet Blues. They look fine, but I have no way of knowing for certain how long they were used. I was told that they had moderate usage by the bassist I bought them from. Again, please note that these are not old Kaplans. They are labeled D'Addario.
