Jacques Gagnon Double Bass for Sala

Hi everyone,

I have a beautiful, great-sounding bass for sale. It's a bass by Jacques Gagnon, who, as you may know, works out of the Philippines. It's a fully carved back, violin-corners, made out of calantus, a Philippine wood. I've played it for many years, and can tell you it has a large dark sound, is very easy to play and in every way a great value for the price. This is a great bass for a college student or amateur looking for a step up from their first or second bass. PM if you want to see pictures (which i will post as soon as i can) Can be seen in Montreal, Quebec. Thanks!

Price $CAN 9000 (approx. $USD7000)

Gagnon bass

I've tried this bass. It really sounds great and someone should get this one soon.
Has a great pizz tone ready to gig on for gigging/recording jazz players, and a rich arco tone for community orchestra players or serious classical students.
I think the setup was done by Heinls. Really nice setup too.
Someone grab this soon!

I will be posting some photos tomorrow. For those of you who are familiar with Gagnon basses, I believe it's the 'Amati' model.

If anyone is still interested in the bass, here are some pics. I have the bass at McGill; PM me if you want to meet to see the instrument.
