Karrel Van DeMeer 1870 Dutch Bass

att: Karel Van DeMeer 1870, Amsterdam. Robertson Violin in Albuquerque
evaluated this beautiful bass. It is in fact Arnie Eggleson's ex "Vanloo". When I purchased it I had Robertson's put a new fingerboard, low C extension, and bridge on it. It is an incredible sounding and playing bass. A fantastic low end cushion with sweet vocal highs and a mid range that's a bit more "present" than say a top shelf Italian bass, but with out a hint of any harshness anywhere on the bass. It will be a sweet addition the the section of any pro level orchestra. Asking $55,000 obo.
