Events of 1943:

WWII continues.

The Original Carter Family breaks up after their WBT radio in Charlotte contract ends. Sara moves to Cailfornia, A.P. moves home and opens a general store, and Maybelle continues the Carter legacy by forming “Mother Maybelle and The Carter Sisters” who perform on WRNL Richmond, Virginia.

King Records launched in Cincinnati in November.

One of Country’s greatest future stars, Elvis Presley, debuts on stage at age eight with Red Foley’s hit, “Old Shep.”

Thank you for your inquiry.
Upton Bass reset the neck, installed the ebony fingerboard, nut, saddle and bridge.
In addition, luthier Mike Asetta installed and fitted the new spruce sound post, closed the seams and performed final setup.

Very tempting

Would you consider shipping the bass (for a fee, of course)?

Looks a lot like my 1941 Kay M-1 which is currently in my luthier's shop for a setup.

Mikelang19:
I prefer to keep it local to avoid the risks of shipping a DB, however I will drive an hour+ to deliver!

Texx010:
Cool! I hope you post pics once it is set up.

If I didn't already have a Kay, I'd have this one.
