Kolstein Fendt 5-string bass for sale

this bass is in shop-perfect condition. neck has been thinned to increase facility, has side blocks to protect edges. Has violin corners and a flat back. Full, dark sound especially when bowing. Pizzicato is clear and strong. Originally made as a custom project for me by Barrie Kohlstein. Made in 2000. Hate to let her go but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Asking $10500, less freight. I used to have one of these and sold it to upgrade to a better 5-string. For the price, it was a fantastic instrument. My upgrade is a great instrument in a completely different class, but it's no more powerful than the 5-string Kolstein Fendt was -- that bass was a real cannon.

When I say "just like this," recognize that the photo tint may not match the actual varnish color -- mine was darker than what appears in the photo.
