I bought the bass from the site, paid for shipping, then spent another:
-$400: To pay a luthier to plane the fingerboard so it would playable (the bass does NOT come playable out of the box!) It is very nice and playable now!
-$225: To have the Messenger bass pickup installed (truly one of the best pick up systems in the world for upright bass). This bass has a GREAT amplified sound!!!!
-$125: Tomastik Spirocore Strings (some of the best strings you can use for upright)
ALL INCLUDED!
(Plus: If you buy this bass off the website above, the wood will be brand new. My bass has had 7 years to age.)
