I'm looking to sell a plywood bass I inherited from my parents. The bass is labeled 'C. Meisel - Made in West Germany' and the serial number is 6592. I'm guessing it was made in the '50's sometime. My mom was the bass player in the family, and since her death in 1971 it has been played very little, if at all. It will need strings etc. at this point. It has some superficial dings and scratches, but no other damage that I can see. I'm assuming it's a 3/4 (41.5" string length). I've been told by folks on this forum that it's a very nice looking bass. Comes with stand, bow (H. L. Carnes - made in Germany), and extra (maybe original) bridge. Will do my best to answer any questions. Asking $1600.
