The top is two piecve medium even grained spruce. The two piece maple back is highly flamed with ribs and neck to match. Decoratively carved. Ebony trimmed. Varnish is a slightly shaded deep amber.
Belonged to Pittsburgh Symphony bassist, often passed around the section. Has served me quite well. Many upgrades--- all ebony bridge adjusters, brand new end pin.
Excellent condition. This is one of the better Pollmann 5 strings. The wood on this instrument is unbelievable.
