Rare Vintage Swanson

I have a 7/8 size Swanson, a rare American maker from the early 1900's. The instrument has an amazing orchestral sound. I feel in love with this bass, but it's turning out to just be too big for me. It will need some fixing work, but the price is right at $4100 (it will be worth $10,000)

What sort of repairs would be necesary on this bass? Is it currently in playing condition?
